Santhals or Santals are considered the most primitive tribe of the subcontinent. They were here before the Aryan invasion began and they are still surviving. Although a fixed history on their origin is pretty hard to find , there are several hypotheses given by many renowned historians. Some of them are discussed in this video. Also a very important part of their history was 1855’s Santhal Revolt. A brief history on that rebellion is given in this video.
