Wow... can't believe I finished this. I actually planned to do a their story edit for a while now but kinda forgot about it and then the final episode came out and I was like "fuck; I havent even started this edit". So that's why the last 30 hours I basically didn't sleep, barely left my room and focused on editing this. I hope this doesn't flop. :P In case you're missing TharnType already: this one is for you. :D
Also there are a lot of black flickering moments and I dont know where they are coming from? Since I have a new pc it's like this and I havent figured out how to prevent that outcome yet. :/ And there could be many more mistakes in this since I havent had the time to watch the whole edit yet. ^-^
Honestly I think I was even more emotional editing the final episode than watching it for the first time, especially during their last scene... I felt so happy and sad at the same time you know?
Oh and sorry that all the clips have different quality. Like for example the legendary fight scene in the last episode has a way better quality and the reason for that is that the subs didn't work for that particular scene, so I had to download that scene from somewhere else and then add them myself, which took pretty long.
I'm gonna miss them so much (even though I guess there is still gonna be a special episode where both visit Type's family since in the trailer there is a clip where they both are sitting on the island) and mondays are not gonna be the same anymore. This show was basically all my favorite tropes from fanfictions come to life lmao. Enemies to Friends to Lovers and 'OMG they were roommates'.
At one of the last scenes where they both were sitting in the bar, happily drinking and their friends teasing them, I just felt a lot of love for each and every character. My edits about this show won't stop, don't worry. For example I really want to make a "Best of Techno" edit (like a humor one) because his facial expressions are always killing me and I just love that dumb walnut.
What made me really emotional as well (I basically screamed when that happened) was their last scene, where they meet Tin and Pete from Love by Chance. I was like 'what the fuck' and smiling dumbly at my screen, and really feeling nostalgic, which is ridicoulous since I started watching Love by Chance only after I discovered Tharntype. Who knows? Maybe they will put Mew and Gulf in the second season but I kinda doubt it since they used different actors in the first season and it seems like tharntype season 1 and love by chance season 2 were filmed at the same time so the actors probably couldn't have time for both.
Tharntype has such a deep spot in my heart since I discovered it on accident, while searching for a fitting clip for a collabpart I was working on and it was also the very first bl drama I watched. (Well if you don't count Skam and it's remakes)
I can just apploud each and every actor in this show; the film crew couldn't possibly find any better people for the characters.
Especially Gulf's, Mew's and Kaownah (Llong) took my breath away with their incredible acting performances. Kaownah even made me feel bad for Llong in the last scene even though I'm kinda disgusted with myself for feeling that way after everything he did. But that's just proof on what an incredible actor he is, The emotions he was able to put in his voice, mimic and body language... WOW - I was so mesmerised and got chills during the fight scene in episode 12. I'm actually really happy on how they ended Llong's storyline. I had been pretty sure he would end up killing himself so I'm happy he found out he is not 100% alone and has his sister and now has the chance to change himself. (I guess it is implied because he watched Tharn singing in the bar in the end of the final episode and said "Sorry")
I fell in love with all the cast members and I'm for sure gonna check out all their future stuff.
In the end I'm incredibly thankful for this show and all the people that were involved in creating it. I laughed and I cried. Thank you to cast, crew and the creators of this show. Thank you so much.
